DOME cafe

If last week i spent my time with my girlfriend together to celebrate her birthday, today i came to DOME for celebrating my girlfriend birthday with her friends. Sorry for this review i forgot to take a picture of this restaurant. When the menu was given to us, we were confused to choose what to eat, but in a while i decided to choose Chicken drumstick (33K) for appetizer.

My girlfriend ordered Mushroom spaghetti (48K), it came up with a medium portion of spaghetti with mushroom and garlic.The taste is quite good

And her friends ordered Chicken kiev (55K), she told me that the taste is standard, and the taste will be better without the sauce.

Eggs Hollandaise (29,5K), its toast white breads with bacon, eggs, salad, and sauce. Looks nice for eat, but i didn't know how it tasted because i didn't taste it.

Penne with chicken & smoked beef (50K), it came up with large portion of pasta with chicken & smoke beef with Bolognese sauce.

Dome gourmet chicken & mushroom pie (55K), this is like zuppa-zuppa soup-Soup in a bowl with something like bread on the bowl. My girlfriend friends told me about that the soup is tasted quite good. The compositions of soup are chicken, mushroom, carrot, long bean. Moreover the bread is too thick.

 Tom yam soup (25K), it came with a garlic bread and soup. How about the taste? My girlfriend friend told me that the taste of the Tom yam soup is much more different from the real tom yam soup taste. The fish is not fresh, smell fishy. I think better not to order this one!!!

And i ordered Lamb chop (93,5K), it came with large portion of lamb ribs with black pepper sauce and baked potato. when i tasted it,i very disappointed about the taste, still has its smell,has some scorched in each side, and the ribs too many fats.

For the drinks, my girlfriend ordered chamomile tea (17K), it came with 1 piece of cookie.

Overall, our first experience dine at DOME Cafe was quite unsatisfied, with their foods. Hope their foods will be better when we visit again.

Hanei

 

We were walking around in Pondok Indah Mall II and we found a Japanese restaurant, Hanei. Not too much customer in this restaurant, just several people. The interior is casual and it gives a warm & friendly ambiance here.

Start with the sushi, we ordered Crunchy unagi roll (33K). It's just a simply sushi filled with crunchy unagi on the top and tobiko.

Great hanei roll (60K), sushi rolls stuffed with salmon and tobiko. It was fresh, delicious, and satisfying.

 Seafood  roll (30,5K), we had a fusion sushi with fried salmon and mayonaise for the topping. the taste wasn't good i think. Because mayonaise doesn't match with the sushi.

 Flying roll (25K), i called this sushi as "pinky sushi" because the color of this sushi is pink. I don't know what is topping which is pink topping, when i taste it sweet tasted, and my opinion this sushi is weird because the taste is sweet.

Gyu enoki roll (35K), sushi rolls stuffed with cucumber, chicken teriyaki and mushroom for the topping. Beware for chili pieces because very spicy.

Beef teriyaki roll (21K), a sushi filled with beef teriyaki and tobiko. It's nice but nothing outstanding, and we thought its too pricey.

  Next, Teba (12K) and Beef with shitake (20K). This is like satay, teba is chicken wing with soy sauce and

 Beef with shitake is tongue beef with mushroom shitake.

And for the dessert we ordered ice cream green tea (20K) and ice cream Ogura (17K). The taste too sweet but the portion is big ((:

Can't say much about this place, the taste of sushi is simple. nothing special.

Carlo de Huts

Yeah.. This will be my 1st time to post my blog about restaurants food review ^__^
Carlo de Huts is a restaurant which is specialized in pannekoek, pasta, and grill steak.
This restaurant is located at senayan city mall
I knew this restaurant from my girlfriend, and she wanted to celebrate her birthday with me in this restaurant (:

Actually, we went to Carlo de Huts at the wrong time also, you know why? Yeah.. We came there at at 5.00pm, on Saturday, and during the fasting month period. Ok, at that moment a lot of people already booked a table for fasting break-means that we are risked not to get a table.Luckily... We got the LAST TABLE-Phewh, thanks God. (:
Indeed,Carlo de Huts has a warm ambiance, a really cozy and nice place for hang out. Try it guys!

 The drinks, orange neval juice (33K) and apple tea (25,9K). They served the drinks with a bottle jam-a unique glass for drink.

and for the foods we ordered american combo breakfast (37,9K) and carlo fire back ribs with devil black pepper sauce (110K).

while people talk about pannekoek, you must be imagine about sweet pancake with maple sauce or some ice creams or something like savoury pancake with smoked beef and cheese. Carlo de Huts offered a different concept of savoury pannekoek.

american combo breakfast tasted good enough. american combo is a pannekoek base that basically sweet, with savoury toppings, such as mushrooms, bacons, tomatoes combined with melted cream cheese, egg and crispy french fries.

When carlo fire back ribs with devil black pepper sauce served to me, i was amazed with the size of ribs, yach that's a big ribs.. For one portion i got 3 ribs, salad, baked potato, and devil black pepper sauce.Nyummmyy... I was passionately wanted to eat this one. And what??!! That was great.. Oh damn good, those ribs and spices fused into one great combination. You must try this food.

Last, we can get Sweetest Takjil for free start from 5.30 pm for the fasting break

overall our first experience in this restaurant can be an alternative choice for hangout and definitely we will come back soon.
